Staying In Touch

Overview of Staying in Touch

Draft, posted 2/26/2025

This topic covers how to join our mailing list, participate in user testing on this site, ask for help with finding disability statistics that are not on this site, and send us support-related questions or feedback.

Joining the Mailing List

Join our mailing list to learn about new features on DisabilityStatistics.org, special site events, and other news. You can join the list as you create your account.

If you’ve already created an account, you can join or leave the list by managing your account profile.

Participating in User Testing

We want this site to be highly useful for everyone. You can express your interest in participating in user testing when you create your account.

If you've already created your account, you can change your preference for participating by managing your account profile.

Asking for Help with Finding Disability Statistics

Senior Research Specialist Bill Erickson can help you find disability statistics that are not available on this site. Before you can ask a question, you need to create an account on the site.

To ask your question:

  1. Open Account Center with this link (or, click your name at the upper right of the site and choose Account Home).
  2. Fill in the “Ask Bill a Question” form.
  3. Click Send Email.

“Email sent successfully!” appears at the top of the form, and your question is sent to Bill.

Within a few minutes, you should receive a copy of your question at the email address you provided. Bill will reply to you as well, once he has had a chance to compose an answer.

Asking a Support-related Question and Sending Feedback

We relaunched DisabilityStatistics.org in February 2025 with an updated interface and new features. We plan to refine the interface and to roll out additional features regularly. We appreciate your questions and constructive feedback!

Before you can submit a support ticket, you need to create an account on the site.

To submit a ticket:

  1. Open Account Center with this link (or, click your name at the upper right of the site and choose Account Home).
  2. Fill in the “Support” form. (For the Site Section, if you choose Stats: Map or Stats: Chart, provide a full link to the map or chart — this link does not appear in your browser’s address bar. To get the full link, on the page with the map or chart, click the “Copy link to current query…” button at the right and then paste into the Question/Comment field.)
  3. Click Submit.

“Support ticket sent successfully!” appears at the top of the form, and your question is routed to the DisabilityStatistics.org team.

Within a few minutes, you should receive a copy of your message at the email address you provided. You will also receive a reply from someone at DisabilityStatistics.org, once they have had an opportunity to respond.
